ADOPT A LEOPARD CAT PROGRAM
Welcome to LCF's Adopt a Leopard Cat Program. I would first like to make it clear that LCF is not seeking new homes for their Leopard Cats. The "Adopt a Leopard Cat Program" is designed to get monitory help to cover expenses so LCF can continue taking in unwanted Leopard Cats and to provide them outstanding care, food, housing, and medical care. As with most things in life, there are expenses and LCF's success relies on their financial situation to reach it's goals.

Besides all the Leopard Cats being used in their breeding programs, LCF has a few Leopard Cats in their sanctuary that require special care and/or medical attention on a regular bases. Some of these Leopard Cats are physically challenged, missing a limb, or are aging. LCF developed "Adopt a Leopard Cat Program", so people can adopt one or more of LCF's Leopard Cats and help take care of their financial needs. This is done by sending monthly monetary support to take care of a particular Leopard Cat's daily needs here at LCF. Adoptees are sent an "Adopt a Leopard Cat" logo, pictures of the Leopard Cat/s they are supporting and receive monthly email updates on that Leopard Cat's well being. The ownership of the Leopard Cat/s will remain with LCF.

This should be a very popular program with Bengal cat owners and breeders who would like to give something back to the species and Foundation Cat of the wonderful Bengal cat breed. The "Adopt a Leopard Cat" logo makes a fine addition to a webpage or email signature.

We realize that some people who want to help, may not be able to afford much, so whatever one can send to help support their adopted Leopard Cat is always appreciated. For those who would like to take care of all a particular Leopard Cat's needs, the estimated cost to provide that is $4.00 per day, which comes to about $120.00 a month for each Leopard Cat kept at LCF facilities.

Of course, if you don't think you can help by adopting a Leopard Cat and donating on a regular bases, LCF will be happy to accept any amount you would like to send whenever you can.

Please send all gift donations to:

Urgent!

With the bird flu spreading throughout the Leopard Cats' native lands, it is becoming crucial that LCF work as fast as possible in securing large healthy gene pools of each subspecies in captivity. Bird flu has already killed Tigers in Philippine zoos, who contracted the disease by eating poultry carrying the disease. There is little doubt that the bird flu being carried in wild bird populations will have a devastating effect on the Leopard Cats already threatened/endangered populations in the wild, possibly even wiping them out completely. Much funds are needed ASAP.
